The Diocese of Boac, Marinduque was given
PhP300,000 through Bp. Reynaldo G. Evangelista.
The Archdiocese of Caceres headed by ABp.
Leonardo Z. Legazpi (through CASAFI) and the
Prelature of Libmanan in Camarines Sur through Bp.
Prospero Arellano had PhP200,000 each. The
Prelature also received a supply of rice.
The Diocese of Virac, Catanduanes accepted
PhP100,000 through Bp. Manolo de los Santos.
A minor PhP15,000 donation was given to the Mother
of Perpetual Help Parish in the Diocese of Gumaca
under Bp. Buenaventura Famadico.

the Poor Apostolate (SJ-COPA). Typhoon
Reming greatly devastated most of the Bicol
Region.

Sizeable amounts were donated by various
institutions and organizations within the Village
such as the Parish of St. James the Great, the St.
James Foundation, the Mother Butler Guild, the
Association of St. John Marie Vianney and the
Ayala Alabang Village Association (AAVA). Not
included in this amount was a reported
additional PhP50,000 coursed through Brgy.
Ayala Alabang. Likewise, business
establishments (owned by Village residents) and
even individual donors - some of whom prefer to
be anonymous - gave in generous amounts that
ranged from PhP100 to P50,000.
The contributions began pouring into the St.
James - COPA Foundation, the outreach arm of
the Parish, since early December 2006.
The Diocese of Legaspi in Albay received aid
amounting to P415,000 given through Bp. Nestor
Cariño and its Social Action Center for the
purchases of rice, food and water supplies
including a generator. Three truckloads of relief
goods were also sent to the victims in Albay in
coordination with the AAVA.

SJ-COPA visits Bicol calamity area
The representatives of the St. James - Church of the Poor Apostolate (SJ-COPA) visited the Bicol
peninsula last December 6-7, 2006 to personally deliver aid to the various ecclesiastical territories
needing help due to the ravages of Typhoon Reming.

The trip took them to the Prelature of Libmanan, Cam. Sur; the Archdiocese of Caceres in Naga and the
Diocese of Legaspi in Albay.
